Museum of Portugal's Presidents

Right next to the Palace in Belem, there is a museum dedicated to the men that have served as Portugal's Presidents. It was interesting to learn a little bit of the history of Portuguese government, as well as their relations with other countries around the world. Included in these pictures are typical clothing of a former President, a medal of honor, a painting representing the banquets that they hold for visiting dignitaries, a portrait of one of Portugal's dictators, and a present that Portugal received from Brazil many years ago. This was my favorite artifact in the museum. It is an actual turtle's shell with paintings of Manaus and the Amazons, which I visited this summer. There were a lot of presents that Portugal has received over the years from different countries. Unfortunately the least cool present was from the United States, it was a plain silver bowl.
