Very similar to the more famous statue in Rio de Janeiro is the Cristo Rei statue located on the opposite side of the Tejo river from Lisbon. Derek and I took a ferry across the river to get to the statue, which was a lot of fun. It certainly isn't quite as magnificent as the statue in Rio, which I was able to see this summer when I was there, but I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this one nonetheless. It was a beautiful view of the river and the bridge, and it was really cool to be able to see Lisbon from the other side.
