Madre de Deus Church

Right next to the national tile museum is the Madre de Deus Church. It was originally built in1509, but was restored many years later by King Joao III, and later renovated by Joao V. Seeing as it holds within it the tile museums, there are quite a few beautiful azulejo pieces in it as well. I continue to be amazed as well by the beauty of these churches, especially all the gold that is contained within them.
