I really enjoyed my experience going to church in Portugal. Soon after I arrived, I was called to serve as a primary teacher. Even though my class could be a little rambunctious at times, most of the time they were well behaved and gave very spiritual comments in the class. I grew to love the kids I taught a lot, and felt like they grew over the time I had the opportunity to teach them. I'm very glad I had the opportunity to serve in the church while I was there. I also enjoyed going out and teaching with the missionaries, usually once a week. I got to know their investigators well, and would usually give talks at their baptisms. The last Sunday I was there, one of their recent converts had the chance to baptize his daughter. It was a really cool experience to be able to see this man use the power of God that he had recently received to be able to baptize his own daughter. It was a spiritual experience that I was grateful to witness. In the time I was in the ward the missionaries had quite a few baptisms, which was great to see the work going so well. The church in Portugal is definitely growing, which can be seen as evidence of the temple that will be built soon. After the baptism I made some hamburgers and french fries for dinner for Francisco, Fatima, the Elders, Fabrizio, Camilia and I.
